Catan Mania!

Last night Zvonimer, Tanmay, and I played Settlers of Catan (making it the fourth time in five days!). The game sped by fairly quickly…perhaps because we started off with more pieces on the board though I'm sure the Tuborg beer may have had a slight influence on our rambunctious nature! After finishing the game around midnight, we stayed up till about 1:00 chatting with Becca and Ari.

Saturday was my roommate Jacomo's last day in Israel. I suppose now he is back in Italy sipping the delicious cappuccinos and hearty Italian food that he so often craved. Though I really enjoy the food here in Israel, I can't wait to go to all my favorite restaurants once I'm back in the States! Rather than get paired with another random roommate, Tanmay decided to move into my room in Jacomo's place. It should be fun being roommates—we're trying to convince Zvonimer to move in with Tanmay's old roommate so we can all be flat-mates!

I joined the Institute's gym on Sunday and have worked-out with Tanmay the last two evenings. It's a really nice center with tennis courts, basketball, cardio equipment, swimming pools, and a weight room. It feels great to start exercising again. Until someone asked me in Hebrew how many sets I had left on a weight machine, I almost forgot that I was in the Middle East! Of course, the constant replay of Animal Planet on the gym's TV screens makes me even more confused about whether I'm in the States or even at the gym!
